Compressed air balancing in a waste incineration plant

Compressed air measurements in the compressor system for balancing of production quantities and consumption within the scope of energy management in accordance with ISO 50001

Municipal waste is an important energy source with an average energy content similar to that of lignite. The Bielefeld waste incineration plant uses the energy potential contained in waste for the environmentallyfriendly generation of electricity, district heating and process steam. For waste incineration, the incineration plant has three incineration lines VL 1, VL 2 and VL 3, each consisting of a waste incinerator, flue gas cleaning system and flue gas chimney. The plant‘s modern flue gas cleaning system is one of the most efficient of its kind. It treats pollutants in eight different filter and treatment stages and filters them out of the flue gas.
