Standard Volume Compensation

Volumetric measurement of crude oils and refined products require compensation for pressure and temperature changes because the properties of the medium vary with changing temperature and pressure.   Liquid hydrocarbons are sensitive to changes in temperature and pressure: lower temperatures result in higher viscosities and densities.  Accurate flow measurement and conversion from actual (gross) to standard (net) units in these applications requires live inputs and sophisticated algorithms based in international standards.  FLEXIM's clamp on H721 flow meter is capable of volume correction for temperature and pressure in accordance with industry standard algorithms. FLUXUS H721 is equipped with databases for a wide range of applications from light hydrocarbons (LPG, NGL, TP25 liquids) to crude oils/refined products (ASTM1250 liquids) to heavy hydrocarbons (asphalts D4311).
