FLEXIM strengthens its presence in the USA
FLEXIM Instruments East Coast Operation's and Development Center
Opening of a New East Coast Operations and Development CenterOn May 8th, 2006 FLEXIM Instruments LLC opened officially its new Operations and Development Center in Edgewood (NY, USA). The new center will strengthen FLEXIM's presence in the North American market. FLEXIM's US subsidiary was founded in Oakland, California in early 2005. While the West Coast office will remain the corporate headquarters, FLEXIM’S expansion in the East has moved the day-to-day operational center of gravity to the "Right Coast". "Opening an East Coast Operations Center sends an important message to our customers that we are the « Partner of Choice » for precision flow and analytical instrumentation," said Claus Huebel, General Manager of FLEXIM USA. "The East Coast Operations Center, in addition to our West Coast and Texas facilities, will allow us to build and to better support our North American customer base." The new center will support senior management as well as sales, technical service, as well as research and development. It will concentrate on FLEXIM’s Flow Products Division. The opening of a flow laboratory is scheduled for fall 2006. Aside from being responsible for FLEXIM’s commercial operations, FLEXIM’s California office will also focus on FLEXIM’s Analytical Products Division. The East Coast Center will be led by two industry veterans, John J. O'Brien and Israel "Izzy" Rivera. John J. O'Brien has over 16 years experience in the ultrasonic flow and sensors business, Izzy Rivera an even 27 years. John J. O'Brien has been appointed FLEXIM's North American Business Development and Operations Manager where he will have overall sales, marketing and operational responsibilities for the North America market.
